The City of Manitowoc has announced the 2020 Spring Clean-up schedule.
Dan Koski, Director of Public Infrastructure, said to allow more time for property owners to clean up yard waste, the first two weeks of Spring Cleanup will be for brush only.
That material includes clean, woody vegetative debris, branches and bushes or shrubs without root bulbs, not to exceed 5-feet in length or 6-inches in diameter.
The 2nd two weeks of cleanup will be only for yard waste, including leaves, thatch, yard & garden materials.
City crews will have the brush pickup north of the Manitowoc River the week of April 6th through the 10th and the following week, April 13th through 17th for property south of the river.
Yard waste collection will occur north of the Manitowoc River starting Monday, April 20th with pickup on the southside set for the week of April 27th.
According to Koski those dates are subject to change based on the weather, and, crews will go through each area one time only for brush and yard waste collection.
A parking ban ordinance has been put in place for Spring Cleanup with no parking allowed near garden waste, brush and/or leaf and raking piles on city streets during the week of pickup from 7- to-3pm.
Vehicles parked near any debris piles will be ticketed.
