An off-duty Outagamie County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a crash which injured two people on Saturday.
The Appleton Police Department was called to the scene on northbound Highway 441 just east of US Highway 10 in Calumet County at about 9:20 PM and found two vehicles involved.
The State Patrol reports that the off-duty deputy was traveling north on 441, when the driver, 38-year-old Jonathan Cvengros missed his exit.
He then performed a U-Turn on the highway and began driving south in the northbound lanes and struck another vehicle head-on.
The other driver, 31-year-old Michael Nicholson of Appleton received critical injuries, while Cvengros received minor injuries.
At last word, charges have not yet been filed against Cvengros.
