As of Sunday morning; Local Health Officials reported no cases of the COVID-19 Virus in Manitowoc County.
Travis Waack, the Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director reminds us, the infectious cases is not about today, rather about 2-weeks from today.
He told SeehaferNews.com, “Governor Evers pointed out that, there is really a two week delay in the actions we are taking now. We won’t see the effects of that for another two weeks and we just don’t know what the situation will look like two weeks. So we have to act now to make sure that in two weeks, if the situation is very serious, we done everything we possibly could for the two weeks leading up to it.”
While testing for the virus in Manitowoc County is happening, only patients that meet the testing requirements set by the state are processed.
He stated, “In Manitowoc County, even if we submitted a test to the state to be run, if it did not meet the criteria, the test would not be run and would just be thrown away.”
Waack added, if you feel sick, contact your primary Doctor over the phone or via an online video visit and follow the physician’s advice.
Travis Waack will be the Guest this morning on WOMT’s “Be My Guest” with Lee Douglas at 9:30
