The Milwaukee Brewers optioned five players to the minor leagues just before Major League Baseball rosters were frozen Friday.
Pitchers Angel Perdomo, Bobby Wahl and Eric Yardley, plus catcher Jacob Nottingham, were sent to Triple-A San Antonio.
Pitcher J-P Feyereisen was optioned to Double-A Biloxi.
Milwaukee was one of several teams trying to cut their rosters to a more manageable size because spring training, if it resumes, will be a shortened version before the start of the 2020 season.
