If you’d like to get outside during this time of coronavirus restrictions, fees have been waived for all Wisconsin State Parks & Trails that remain open to the public. A news release from the Department of Natural Resources shows that parks, law enforcement & property staff will continue their routine sweeps of state park system properties.
They emphasize staying home as much as possible is the “best way to lower COVID-19 infection rates.” However, should you need a place with ‘space’, getting outdoors has both physical and mental benefits. Also, the DNR says restrooms on state properties, including Point Beach, will remain open, given there are enough resources, cleaning supplies and access to personal protective equipment for staff to maintain them.
Meanwhile, all campsites are ‘closed’ through April 30th..and no new reservations will be taken until further notice.
