The Wisconsin Recovery Community Organization (WIRCO) will be expanding its services to individuals seeking recovery support from substance abuse.
Previously, WIRCO has offered peer recovery coach services to individuals struggling with opiate substance use disorder with grant funding received from Wisconsin Voices for Recovery.
With new funding from HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital, WIRCO is expanding its peer recovery coach services to support individuals seeking recovery from substances outside of opiates.
Additionally, the funding will allow WIRCO to incorporate Self-Management And Recovery Training (SMART) Recovery practices into Sheboygan County.
WIRCO has also secured a new location, to serve as a Recovery Community Center (RCC), which will likely play a crucial role in the way clients are served.
WIRCO is developing policies and procedures for the RCC and will be announcing an Open House soon as part of a soft opening.
