Given everything that is going on right now, some people may either be turning to religion for peace or are doubling down on their time with God.
Father Doug LeCaptain from St. Francis of Assisi Church spoke with SeehaferNews.com yesterday and explained how they are helping their clergy continue to celebrate the Lord. “We’re trying to be creative and interesting with this,” He said. “We converted our little adoration chapel into a chapel we can do mass from, and live feed it to our Facebook page…and YouTube.”
As for when these virtual masses take place, he said they did that for their 4:00 and 10:30 masses, and for their 6:45 am masses. They also plan to do their middle school masses and elementary school masses as well.
We asked Father LeCaptain what he suggests people do during this time to help cope with the struggles they are facing, and he said now is the time to “engage and continue in prayer.”
He also encouraged people to go outside, and “look around and see and experience the presence of God in nature.”
He also emphasized the importance of family meals with those you are living with, as well as setting aside some time for conversation.
