The city of Manitowoc is now just a little bit bigger.
Mayor Justin Nickels went to Facebook yesterday to announce that the City has closed the deal with Manitowoc County on a nearly 93.5-acre plot of land directly adjacent to I-43 and the city limits.
The land is located on the Southeast and Southwest corners of Viebahn Street and Hecker Road.
Nickels says that the deal was months in the making and will be annexed into the city limits in the near future.
