The Wisconsin Badgers have won the 2020 March Madness – sort of.
E-S-P-N used its “Basketball Power Index” to simulate the basketball tournament that was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The sports network says its simulated Final Four included Maryland, B-Y-U, Virginia and the Wisconsin Badgers. Coach Greg Gard’s “virtual” team went on to knock off the Cougars in the national championship game.
Number-one-ranked Kansas entered the fake tournament as the favorite, followed by Duke and Gonzaga.
