Manitowoc County Register of Deeds Kristi Tuesburg announces that effective 8 a.m. Friday morning their office will be conducting all public services through on-line-mail and drop off options to take “proper safety precautions to protect the public and reduce the spread of COVID 19.” Tuesburg continues “The health and safety of our employees and customers remain our top priority. Limiting physical access allows the public and our staff to conduct business without jeopardizing their health. It also ensures maintaining the social distance necessary to limit the spread of COVID 19 in our community.”
The Office will remain staffed to answer phone calls and e-mails and they will continue to process vital records applications and various other requests during regular business hours. Land records are also available to view and purchase on-line and customers are encouraged to call for any emergency.
They will be closely monitoring the impact of COVID 19 and based on recommendations from local-state and federal agencies will determine when the Office will reopen.
