Witnesses tell Adams County Sheriff’s deputies a 60-year-old man who fell to his death early Wednesday morning had been climbing a tree.
Rescue crews were called shortly after midnight to the Roche-A-Cri State Park.
A friend says Randal Cooper had been on a lookout platform at the top of the stairs on the Roche-A-Cri mound and was climbing outside the area designated for pedestrians.
Deputies say they think the use of intoxicants was a factor in the fatal accident.
