Janitors and custodians are the unsung heroes of any school. They keep the school clean, comfortable and running smoothly, all behind the scenes.
Benjamin Zimmerman, the custodian at De Pere High School does just that and is being recognized for his hard work. Zimmerman is one of the finalists in the national “Custodian of the Year” contest.
The man affectionately known as Mr. Ben is described as an upbeat person with an “infectious smile”. He is also an incredibly hard worker, sometimes 80 hours per week.
The public can vote for Mr. Ben at CustodianOfTheYear.com.
