There’s what’s known as a Student Boutique in the Manitowoc Public School District. Superintendent Mark Holzman explains it’s located at the Stangel Learning Community.
The Student Boutique allows students to get clothes, health care goods and other things “they might need in order to support them in any sort of environment.” He went on to say that “The Boutique was originally put together to try to provide some professional clothing for students who might need that, and not have that.” It has since progressed to a larger scale, according to Holzman.
He praised the students at McKinley Academy, who collected a large number of items for the boutique through donations. Holzman said that any donations of items like clothing and personal care items are greatly appreciated.
The superintendent added, “it’s a great opportunity to celebrate what kids are doing to help each other.”
