Update: The show has been canceled
Over 125 skaters in the Manitowoc County Figure-Skating Club are preparing for ‘four’ shows next weekend at the Ice Center. Dave Pawlowski is in charge of marketing for this year’s presentation of “Candy Factory.”
“Each show is an interpretation of some favorite stories and this year is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be put into an ice show for our audiences.”
Pawlowski explains this is the 24th annual figure skating show, directed by his wife Chris. He tells Seehafer News it’s all done in a ‘theatrical’ setting.
“That includes a 200-foot wide theatrical stage setting with backdrops and props on the ice. A couple of interesting things this year, we will have an eggdicator machine on the ice as well as a Gobstopper machine.”
Showtimes next weekend at the M-C-I-C are Friday night, March 20th at 7:00, Saturday the ‘21st at 2:00 and 7 pm and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 o’clock.
‘Candy Factory’ is sponsored by Bank First and is sanctioned by U-S Figure Skating.
Tickets can be purchased on-site during show rehearsals, or at least an hour before showtimes.
