State Highway 67 near Hillwind Road in Sheboygan County was shut down for a time last night after a vehicle left the roadway.
According to SGT Jesse James Smith from the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to the area at around 8:45 PM last night, and made contact with the driver.
The incident was described as a “tactical situation” but did not specify why it was handled in that way.
The situation ended peacefully, and the driver was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. The roadway has since been reopened to traffic.
The Sheriff’s Department was assisted on the scene by The Plymouth Police Department, The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, The Elkhart Lake Police Department, Orange Cross Ambulance, and The Sheboygan County Highway Department.
