A cheesemaker in Kiel has some new hardware for their walls after the World Championship Cheese Contest.
Henning Cheese earned the Best in Class award in the Pepper Flavored Cheese, Medium Heat class for their Chipotle Cheddar Bandage Daisie, and also earned 2nd and 3rd for their Colby Cheeses.
Plymouth cheesemakers performed very well with Satori earning a second place win for their Limited Edition Pastorale Blend in the Hard Mixed Cheese class, Masters Gallery taking 2nd in the Shredded Cheese Blends for their Shredded Hot Pepper Blend, and 3rd for their Shredded Parmesan, Gruyere & Swiss blend, and Great Lakes earning a best in class designation.
That was for their New York Extra Sharp Cracker Cut Cheese in the Natural Sliced Cheese category, while they also were named 2nd for their Havarti Cracker Cuts.
The overall Grand Campion Cheese was a Gruyere made by Michael Spycher, Mountain Dairy out of Switzerland.
