The City of Manitowoc Citizens Advisory Committee will be hosting a Common Council Candidates Forum on Wednesday, March 18th from 6 – 8 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall located at 900 Quay Street in Manitowoc.
All candidates on the ballot running for Common Council have been invited to participate: District 1 candidate Brett Vanderkin; District 2 incumbent Jim Brey; District 5 candidate John Brunner and candidate Amber Daugs; District 6 incumbent Eric Sitkiewitz; District 8 incumbent Mike Williams is unable to attend, but candidate Bill Schlei will be attending; District 9 incumbent Steve Czekala will not be attending; and District 10 incumbent Courtney Hansen and candidate Mike Cusick.
Each unopposed candidate will have the opportunity to present a statement at the beginning of the forum. The Citizens Advisory Committee will have a set of questions for the remaining participants. The public is welcome to submit questions they may have via the City of Manitowoc Facebook page, or by attending the event.
