Three Townships in Manitowoc County will be sharing in approximately three-quarters of a million dollars in local Transportation Grants.
Governor Tony Evers earlier this week announced that ‘152’ Wisconsin communities are sharing in grant awards from the Multimodal Local Supplement. MLS is a one-time $75-million dollar funding program for local projects.
The Town of Newton is receiving $257,000 for a road improvement project on Newton Road. The Town of Meeme is getting $229,000 for bridge construction on Pioneer Road and the Town of Gibson is set to receive $290,000 for bridge work on Twin Bridge Road.
Work is expected to start shortly on the selected projects in nearly all of Wisconsin’s 72-counties.
