The Annual Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA Fundraising Campaign is off to a “great start”. Executive Director Julie Grossman told SeehaferNews.com, “We’ve had some amazing startups here, with Bank First coming in with their Bank First Community Match, and then Sports Talk giving us some airtime to help leverage that generous gift from Bank First.”
Bank First challenged The Y to raise $2,500 in new money, and Monday’s final total for the “Bank First” matching day drive was just over $5,200 making it a $7,700 day to kick off its campaign.
Julie calls that number “symbolic and representative of the overall positive feeling on the Lakeshore.” She said that when people here see good things happening, they want to get involved. Grossman emphasizes that any gift directly impacts people’s lives and as one donor stated: “we come (to the Y) and we see it happen.”
