Shady Lane has been a staple of the City of Manitowoc for many years now, but some may not be fully aware of what exactly it is they do, as their focus has shifted since their creation.
We spoke with Molly Stolp, the Marketing Director at Shady Lane, who explained why some people’s perception of them may be a little off. “People hear the name Shady Lane, you automatically think nursing home, because that’s what it was for so long,” she said. “It’s evolved so much since [1951]… a few years ago, things shifted in the community, and the nursing home was not the primary need anymore.”
Stolp told SeehaferNews.com that the nursing home is just a “small portion of what we offer.” A big portion of what they do is rehabilitation, but they primarily focus on assisted living. She said “The good thing about being around for so long, our buildings have been added on to, so we have smaller units and very large units. We have price points for everybody.”
Stolp said that they have options ranging from studio apartments all the way up to two-bedroom apartments available. Visit ShadyLaneInc.com to learn more or stop into their office located at 1235 South 24th Street in Manitowoc.
