Marquette women’s basketball coach Megan Duffy has been named Big East Conference Coach of the Year.
Initially picked to finish ninth in the conference standings, Duffy guided the Golden Eagles to a 13-and-5 Big East record, good for second place.
Marquette’s 22-and-7 overall record means the Eagles have topped 20 wins for four straight seasons.
Duffy has the second-best percentage in the country among third-year head coaches, winning 71 percent of the games.
Other honors for Marquette include junior guard Selena Lott named to the All-Big East second team and freshman forward Camryn Taylor included on the All-Freshman team.
