The Manitowoc County Fair may be several months away, but preparations are well underway, as Manitowoc County Expo has announced their pick for this year’s Fairest of the Fair.
2017 Kiel High School and 2019 University of Wisconsin Sheboygan graduate, Lydia Luebke has been selected to don the tiara, following in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Marlee Meulemans.
Luebke is currently a Junior at the University of Wisconsin River Falls majoring in Dairy Science/Pre-Large Animal Veterinary Medicine with a minor in Agri-Business. In the past, Lydia was employed at Kissinger Family Farms LLC, where she was responsible for all aspects of calf management and cow care.
She was also the former, assistant to the Executive Director at the UW-Sheboygan Foundation and a Library Intern at the Acuity Technology Center. She is currently employed at Lubich’s Dairy Farm LTP and Luigi’s Pizza.
The Manitowoc County Fair is scheduled to take place from August 26th through the 30th.
