Officials with the Wisconsin Humane Society are calling Tuesday’s action the largest animal rescue in Racine County history. Ninety-five cats were removed from a home. Witnesses say some of the cats removed had died before they could be saved and the home is considered to be uninhabitable. The person who was hoarding the cats voluntarily gave them up and some of them are now available for adoption.
