Guard D’Mitrik Trice hit his first five shots, finished the game with 28 points and led Wisconsin to an 81-74 upset at Michigan Thursday night.
The Badgers never trailed while running their winning streak to five games in-a-row. The Wolverines did get within three at 70-67 with less than three minutes left, but Trice hit a 3-pointer and U-W (18-10, 11-6 B1G) held on.
Zavier Simpson scored a career-high 32 points for Michigan which saw its five-game winning streak snapped.
Wisconsin returns to action Sunday by hosting Minnesota in the Border Battle. The Gophers won the first meeting between the two rivals 70-52 three weeks ago.
