Man Charged in Killing of 3-Year-Old Girl in Appleton, Injuring Woman

A man is jailed in Outagamie County for the killing of a three-year-old girl and injuring a 27-year-old pregnant woman in Appleton.  Twenty-five-year-old Demetrius L. Williams was booked on charges of first-degree intentional homicide and attempted homicide.  Police called to an apartment building Wednesday night found the child and woman suffering from life-threatening injuries.  Officers say the girl died overnight and the woman remains hospitalized.  Investigators have not said how the victims were injured.  Williams is known to the victims.  Their names haven’t been released.
