Brown County:  Armed Robbery Report Was Faked

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office now says the report of an armed robbery earlier this week was faked.  An Allouez man could be facing charges.  He told investigators a man with a knife tried to rob him and he stopped the robbery by pulling a gun.  Deputies haven’t said how they finally realized the report wasn’t true.  They have referred the case to prosecutors for the possible filing of charges.
