Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst says he feels good about the potential for linebacker Oren Burks.
Green Bay linebacking position is in flux while team leaders spend this week in Indianapolis for the N-F-L combine. Burks can help fill the need, but the Packers are also going to have to make moves in free agency or draft one or two players for the critical position.
A trade is also a possibility.
Burks hasn’t helped much in his first two N-F-L seasons due to a series of injuries. He will need to stay healthy and show something to defensive coordinator Mike Pettine if he wants more playing time this fall.
