The 17-year-old Bay Port High School student who threatened the school on social media has been identified.
Reports indicate that Javon Kempen is enrolled at the school, but for an undisclosed reason, was not allowed on the property unless approved by staff. Kempen requested to return to classes during a meeting on Monday, but he was turned down, again for unspecified reasons.
That is when he allegedly posted on snapchat, “Bay Port High School Suamico WI. I’ll shoot this (expletive) up no hesitation”.
A search of is room did not uncover any weaponry, but Kempen’s grandmother indicated that he had a BB gun.
Kempen was arrested Monday afternoons, and was in court yesterday, where his bail was set at $1,000.
