A contrite coach Chase Buford is apologizing for his comments about the refs after the Wisconsin Herd lost to Grand Rapids Sunday.
Buford was pretty wound up after his G-League team had blown a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter and lost 126-117. The coach told the media to tweet the video of his tirade and tag the league office so it could hear what he had to say.
One reporter took him at his word and did it.
Monday, Buford called his behavior “unprofessional,” saying he was embarrassed, and he apologized to the referees, the opposing team, the fans and the Wisconsin Herd organization.
