The former owner of Dairy State Cheese Company in Rudolph is expected to reach a plea deal with state prosecutors.
Michael Moran is accused of defrauding 83 farmers by forging their names on what are called underpayment checks, then taking the money for his own use. Investigators say the crimes were conducted between January 2012 and April 2018, with a total theft of a little over $21,000.
Criminal charges against Moran were filled last month.
