The Green Bay Metro Fire Department says crews were called to the Procter and Gamble plant Monday just before noon when a paper machine caught on fire.
Plant workers were trying to contain the problem when firefighters rolled up. They encountered heavy smoke and flames in several parts of the machinery. A second-alarm was issued due to the difficulty of getting to the area that was burning.
No injuries were reported.
The company hasn’t said if the fire will affect the work going on at the Green Bay plant.
