The Wisconsin women’s hockey team scored two goals in the final minute to earn a 5-5 tie at Minnesota-Duluth, locking down the Badgers’ eighth W-C-H-A regular-season title.
Senior Abby Roque scored a pair of goals while junior Daryl Watts took the draw point from the host team. Wisconsin edged its arch-rival Minnesota by two points for the league championship, earning a bye in the first round of the W-C-H-A Final Faceoff.
The Badgers will meet the lowest remaining seeded team March 7th. Watts set a U-W school record with her 49th assist of the season.
