Two Manitowoc residents charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver are free on recognizance bonds. 30-year-old Stacy N. Tadych and 40-year-old Timothy Helke were taken into custody early Saturday morning with Helke facing additional charges of displaying unauthorized vehicle registration plates, non-registration of an automobile and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Police pulled over a vehicle in the 700 block of Cleveland Avenue and discovered the plates didn’t match the vehicle. A K-9 Officer detected the presence of drugs with a subsequent search of the vehicle revealing nearly 5-and-a-half grams of meth, a glass smoking device, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia.
Conditions of bail are that both defendants maintain absolute sobriety with Tadych ordered to report to the Manitowoc Police Department within 72 hours for prints. Initial appearances are scheduled for March 16th at 1:30 p.m.
