The Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc’s Car and Motorcycle Show was recently chosen as the winner of the Tier One-Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District Signature Project Contest. This local event prospers from the generosity of many local businesses with profits supporting a number of programs that focus on benefitting young people including awarding several college scholarships, local Boy Scout sponsorships, providing a Christmas Party for special needs children in the Manitowoc School District, Badger Boys Sponsorship, camperships for needy children and I-pads for autistic children.
Kiwanis President Steve Kanter issued this statement “It’s a great honor to be selected as the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan winner. We’d like to thank all of our corporate and trophy sponsors for their support of this great event that everyone in our club works so hard for it to be successful. It’s our major fundraising event and the profits are very important for us to help our children in need in our community.”
The event will now be submitted for recognition at the Kiwanis International Convention in Indianapolis on June 18th.
