The amazing Heart Association fundraiser, Heart-A-Rama, turns 50 this year and in celebration, a documentary has been made and was released during a special showing last night at Lakeshore Cinema.
‘You Gotta Have Heart’ was produced by Tina and Jason Prigge from Vagabond Creative Studio & Coolest Coast-Manitowoc County.
Heart-A-Rama Producer, Jim Pautz tells SeehaferNews.com they spoke with Jason and Tina about making the video “50 minutes for 50 years. They got it there, but it was rather difficult” due to having to scrub through the last 25 years of video.
Another Heart-A-Rama veteran, Karen Schweitzer-Olson, thanked the Prigges, saying, “They spent hours and hours” putting it together. She said the video had clips of the founders sitting around, reminiscing, and singing.
Biff Hansen is the longtime emcee of Heart-A-Rama and lent his talents last night as well.
There’s another premiere or showing of ‘You Gotta Have Heart’ this Sunday afternoon at 1:00 at Lakeshore Cinema. Tickets will be $5.00 at the door and doors open an hour before showtime. There is limited seating, so plan accordingly.
Heart-A-Rama hopes to reach the $3 million mark this year as Heart-A-Rama strikes Gold Performances return to the Two Rivers Community House this Spring.
