Bail is set at $25 thousand cash for a 23-year-old Town of Two Rivers man charged with attempted homicide in connection with an incident Wednesday afternoon. Jon Paul Douglas Brutscher appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit court for a bail hearing Thursday afternoon.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department and EMS personnel responded to a call for a Stabbing on Manitou Drive shortly after 12:30. A preliminary investigation indicates that two adult males who live together became involved in a verbal and physical altercation resulting in a 30-year-old man being stabbed numerous times. He was transported via ambulance to the hospital for serious injuries and is listed in stable condition.
Conditions of bail are that Brutscher has no contact with the victim-possess no dangerous weapons and report to the Sheriff’s Department for photos and prints within 72 hours of release.
He remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for March 2nd at 1:30.
