Update: Petru Iancu has been located and is safe.
A Silver Alert has been issued for a 79-year-old man who was last seen at the Holiday Inn on Calumet Avenue in Manitowoc.
Petru Iancu was last seen at around 10:00 AM on Tuesday and mentioned he was going back home to Chicago. Petru is not familiar with Northeast Wisconsin and it is not believed that he has any friends or family in the area.
Iancu was wearing brown hiking boots, black sweatpants, a blue jacket with a red stripe, glasses and an ascot style hat. His vehicle is a black 2017 Hyundai Tucson with the Illinois License plate Q988717.
