The first floor of the Manitowoc Public Library has a new look, and the public will be able to see it this afternoon.
We spoke with Teresa Horstgetter on the WCUB Breakfast Club about how the project came about. She said it has been a long haul, but worth the effort. She explained “We went through quite a bit between asking community members and patron of the library what they would like to see in the Library. And we also visited other libraries to see what we liked or didn’t like about their setups to get some ideas about how we would like to layout our library.”
As mentioned, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony this afternoon, and Horstgetter said that everyone is welcome to attend. Those actively involved in the planning and completion of the process received invitations, but the ceremony is open to the public.
The ceremony will start at 4:00 PM at the Manitowoc Public Library. After the ceremony refreshment will be available, and visitors will be able to walk around the newly finished renovation, and see what has changed.
