Sheboygan’s Shoreline Metro has reported that last year they broke an 18-year record by providing just shy of 680,000 trips on their fixed-route service.
Also in their annual report, they say that this is the third consecutive year that they have seen their ridership grow.
According to the Director of Transit for the City of Sheboygan, Derek Muench, the growth is the result of years of improvements and enhancements to better connect customers to their destinations. “What we have done is built a culture,” Muench said in a news release. “We have created a service that people are excited about.”
One major change they made last year was the creation of their Bus Tracker app, which allows those waiting for the bus to see where they currently are, and how long it will take for them to arrive.
