As we reported a couple of weeks ago, a benefit for a Two River High School Senior battling cancer is coming up soon. Cody Lewis was diagnosed with undifferentiated sarcoma after he was injured playing basketball, and the pain never went away.
In support of the Lewis family, Two Rivers High School is hosting Team Cody Night, an event that Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig is in full support of. Hartwig explained that on Friday, February 21st from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at Two Rivers High School in conjunction with the Varsity Boys Basketball team’s senior night, there will be raffles, and prizes, as well as cookies from Hartman’s Bakery.
Donations will be accepted, with the owners of Horsey Habit agreeing to match donations up to $2,500. The Sheriff voiced his pleasure in seeing all the support the surrounding communities have had for Cody and his family as well, praising areas such as Kiel, Valders, and Brillion. He called it “absolutely wonderful.” To keep up with everything going on with Cody Lewis, or to donate, join the Team Cody Facebook group.
