The Manitowoc Jaycees’ organization is holding its’ 24th annual Beer Lover’s Brewfest tomorrow evening at the County Expo grounds. Sam Busse is a Vice President of the Jaycees and a committee member for the event, “It’s our largest fundraiser as a local Jaycee chapter. It helps fund our organization for the year and allows us to be able to give back to the community in multiple ways.” Proceeds will be earmarked for holiday shopping for local needy families, the Foster Care program and, a Sandbox Fill in the Spring.
Busse says ‘Brewfest’ will run from 5-to-9 pm Saturday, February 15th. “We have 36 different brewer representatives that will be attending and serving their beer on-site. We have food available to purchase. We have a DJ spinning some great tunes and keeping the party lively in the background. People come in and mingle and maybe find some different beers that they haven’t had before and that they are going to enjoy.”
A reminder that those in attendance must be 21-years of age or older and tickets are $35.00 a piece and are available by pre-sale only. Busse explains tickets can be purchased at Superior Discount Liquor or at Ryan’s on York right up until the start of the event.
If you are attending the event, there will also be a donation drive for the Two Rivers Ecumenical Pantry. Donations earn extra door prize entries. A few suggested donations are canned or dry soups, canned meats, boxed meals, canned sauces, and bottled fruit juice.
