Bail is set at $50,000 cash for a 22-year-old Manitowoc man facing multiple charges including Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. Ryan A. Sanders is also charged with two counts of soliciting a child to engage in prostitution, two counts of exposing genitals or pubic area, Keeper of a Drug House, Possession of marijuana and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A Manitowoc Police Officer responded to Aurora Medical Center late last Wednesday afternoon for a report of a sexual assault. The Officer was told by the victim that she and several friends were at a residence in the 2600 block of South 21st Street the night of February 4th where they met Sanders. He then allegedly told the female victim that he wanted to “get with you.” He confessed to the police that he knew the victim was either 14 or 15 years old and that he’s victimized other teenage girls.
Conditions of bail are that Sanders have “no contact” with anyone under the age of 18, “no contact” with known drug dealers or users, maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol and not allowed to travel outside of Manitowoc County.
He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for February 24th at 1:30.
