Members of a special legislative committee have approved a new, five-year contract with Wisconsin State Patrol troopers.
The deal will have to be ratified by the Legislature. It provides for a pay raise of nearly $6,000-a-year.
The contract for 370 state troopers is retroactive to last July, with all of them receiving two-percent pay raises for each of the last two years.
