
Five days after the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Michael Kirsch in Sheboygan, charges have officially been filed against the man who shot him. .
18-year-old Daniel Mares of Sheboygan is facing a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, while 17-year-old Adyson Mihm is facing a charge of harboring a felon, and several related to drugs.
According to court documents, police had to break up a fight between two females at the Sheboygan bus station, which then ended up continuing outside the home of one of the witnesses on Clara Avenue.
Witnesses then say that Mares reached into his sweatshirt, pulled out a gun, and fired twice at Kirsch. Mares and Mihm then fled the scene and were found by police at a home on Cherry Lane. Mares initially denied being in the fight, but later claimed self-defense.
If found guilty, Mares could spend the rest of his life in prison.
