A former Milwaukee police officer whose fatal shooting of a man in 2016 led to riots has now been released from prison.
Dominique Heaggan-Brown was cleared in the shooting which left Sylville Smith dead, but he was found guilty of felony sex crimes in a separate case.
Heaggan-Brown was serving out a three-year prison term when he was released from the Dodge Correctional Institution Center on extended supervision Tuesday.
