Minnesota led all 40 minutes in its biggest win over the Wisconsin Badgers in 26 years.
The Golden Gophers brought Wisconsin back to earth in a 70-52 decision Wednesday.
The Badgers had been talking about the post-season after upsetting Michigan State Saturday.
Nate Reuvers scored 14 points and Micah Potter had a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds, but their team’s worst shooting performance of the season was too much to overcome.
Wisconsin (13-10, 6-6 B1G) hit just 28 percent of its shots.
The Badgers return home to face Ohio State Sunday.
