Alderman Calls For Milwaukee Public Schools To “Stand Against Hate”

Milwaukee Alderman Robert Donovan is calling on city schools to discipline one of its teachers for controversial tweets about talk show host Rush Limbaugh’s cancer diagnosis.  Donovan wants Milwaukee Public Schools to take a “stand against hate,” in his words.  Milwaukee High School of the Arts teacher Travis Sarandos has been placed on leave.  In one Tweet he apparently wrote, “It’s awesome he’s dying.”  The Twitter account has been deactivated.
