Milwaukee police say a 32-year-old officer is in stable condition after being shot by a suspect running away from a traffic stop Tuesday morning.
The officer’s name hasn’t been released.
The attempted traffic stop happened at 1:00 A-M after the suspect vehicle was seen driving recklessly.
There was a brief high-speed chase, then three suspects jumped out of the vehicle and tried to get away.
Police say two of the three have been arrested, while the third apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
