The players on the Wisconsin men’s basketball team are standing firmly behind coach Greg Gard.
Freshman forward Tyler Wahl says they went out and battled for Gard in Saturday’s 64-63 upset of Michigan State.
The Badgers travel to Minnesota (11-10, 5-6 B1G) for the latest installment of the Border Battle tonight (Wednesday).
Junior guard Brad Davison will be welcomed back for the showdown with the Gophers (13-9, 6-5).
He was suspended one game for a flagrant foul and didn’t suit up against the Spartans.
Gard agreed that Davison deserved a flagrant foul for hitting Iowa’s Connor McCaffery in the groin area, but he doesn’t think the play was malicious, saying he will vouch for Davison’s character.
