Investigators say Ken Juedes died of two shotgun blasts to the chest in his home in August 2006.
More than 13 years later, his 65-year-old wife has entered a not guilty plea to a charge of first-degree intentional homicide in a Marathon County courtroom.
Prosecutors say Cindy Schulz-Juedes was always a person-of-interest in the case. She was the only beneficiary of life insurance policies worth one million dollars.
Schulz-Juedes told police she slept in a camper on the property the night her husband was killed and found his body when she returned to the house.
She was arrested last year and has been held on one million dollars cash bond.
